VPN/proxy may be needed in order to access DMM site depending on what country you live in. In most cases no VPN/proxy is needed for account creation, but for playing the actual game there are restrictions for some countries. Further details are available on Troubleshooting page.
New players must create an account on DMM's account registration page. According to DMM's Terms of Service (ToS), only those who are aged 18 or above can use their service, and those aged below 20 require parental guidance (stated in article 3 of the ToS). If you are of the age, you may proceed to create the account by picking a login method of your choice from email to Google, Twitter, Facebook or LINE (this one is available only for Japanese users). We warmly recommend the email option (especially for easier troubleshooting if you ever need to contact DMM for something), Google as second best option. Twitter or Facebook aren't recommended, as if you lose your Twitter/Facebook account (either you delete it or it gets suspended), you will lose access to your DMM account too.
Once you have done the first step of picking your preferred login method and inputted other required info, proceed to verify the account through the email you should receive. At some point, usually when you first time are trying to access Bungou to Alchemist or any other DMM game, you will be asked to give username for your DMM account, which will be your default name in some games. In case of Bungou to Alchemist this is true, but you may change the name in-game and separate it from your DMM account name once you've got through the game's tutorial. You will also need to provide your legal birthday to DMM, and if you are under 18 years old, your account may use only some services on DMM platform but games (including Bungou to Alchemist) can't be accessed before you are old enough.
Please do note that even if you choose to display the DMM GAMES site in English language, the game will be still in Japanese as Bungou to Alchemist doesn't have English version available!
