Introduction[]
Equipment Books (有装書, yuusousho) is a spiritual successor of Ensouled Books (a feature which was removed from the game with July 28th, 2021 update). The main purpose of Equipment Books is to give players more ways to acquire Writers, their alternate outfits, and Memoria Cards (ones which are also permanently available in Memoria).
Equipment Book Delve can be accessed from the Book Delve menu, or from the side-menu on the left: Book Delve (潜書) → Equipment Books (有装書).
Equipment Book Delve[]
When you arrive to the Equipment Book Delve menu, you will see a page with four delving slots.
To delve into an Equipment Book, choose any open delve slot by clicking/tapping it. A side-menu opens up on the right, where you are prompted to pick a writer for the delve.
Select a writer and you are given a popup that asks you to Confirm (確定) the delve or cancel it.
One delve costs one Equipment Book 
. Before confirming the delve, you may use Governor (調速機) 
to skip the waiting time to see the result right away once you start the delve.
If you decided to not use Governor and you confirm the delve, you will see your writer delving and the timer, which tells how long you will have to wait until you can come claim the result of the delve. All timers have their own set pool of writers or Memoria items which the timer can give you. See the end of the current page for a list of all the available timers.
In case you decided not to use Governor before delving and want to skip the waiting time afterwards, press the Governor icon on the right of the timer to use Governor and skip the waiting time. You will be asked to confirm this action with "Yes" (はい), or "No" (いいえ).
Few important notes about Equipment Books Delving:
- While writers are delving into Equipment Books, they can't delve into other books (Ensouled Books of Storytelling, Tainted Books, Sealed Books, event books etc.)!
- A writer delving can appear in Strolls, however their sprite won't show up and you can't give them gifts until they are done with the delving and you've claimed the result of it.
- Chosen writer for delving doesn't affect the result of the delve at all; you are free to use whoever you want.
The result can either be a writer, an outfit or a Memoria Card. Writers and their alternate outfits have blue frame, while Memoria Cards have gold frame. Before proceeding, you may click/tap the result to see closer what you got. Press the silver button Proceed (次へ) on bottom right corner to go back to the Equipment Book Delve screen.
- Rarity (レアリティ) = Rarity of the outfit. A writer (his regular outfit) is 1-star, alternate outfits are 2 or 3-stars rarity.
- Element (属性) = This can be either Fire (火), Water (水), Air/Wind (風) or Earth (土).
- Statistics (ステータス) = For writers and their outfits, there's Attack (攻撃), Defense (防御) and Evasion (回避).
In a case the result was a Memoria Card:
- Class (種別) = This is either Attack (攻) or Defense (防)
- Element (属性) = This can be either Fire (火), Water (水), Air/Wind (風) or Earth (土).
- Weapon Type (武器類) = Either Blade (
), Bow (), Gun () or Whip (). - Statistics (ステータス) = Attack class cards boost attack stat certain percent, defense class cards boost defense. Additionally, all 2-3 star rarity cards boost one of the following:
- Accuracy (命中率)
- Critical Hit rate (急所への攻撃率)
- Epiphany Gauge fill rate (降臨の上昇率)
Timers[]
Please do note that some timers can have both writers (1★ rarity regular outfit), and Memoria items (2-3★ rarity alternate outfits, or 3★ rarity Memoria cards).
Writer Timers[]
Currently Yanagita Kunio, Orikuchi Shinobu, Taneda Santouka and Ozaki Housai aren't available through Equipment Books.

Memoria Item Timers[]
Please do note that if you receive an alternate outfit for a writer you do not have yet (in other words don't have regular outfit for a writer), you can still use that alternate outfit and the writer (put him to a team, set as assisstant, gift in Strolls and so on), but not use/see his regular outfit until you acquire it.
All the items available through Equipment Books are also permanently available through Memoria gachas.
